Robbert-Jan Boswijk accomplished his masters Criminal law and International/European law at the Vrije Universiteit in Amsterdam. His thesis was published by the NJB (the Dutch Lawyers Magazine). He started his career in 2008 at Houthoff Buruma where he primarily worked on the bigger fraud cases and various criminal cases concerning company incidents.

Starting September 1st, 2011, Robbert-Jan made the transfer to Van Bavel Advocaten where he mainly handles fraud cases but also advises companies and their directors on issues relating to internal fraud, financial supervision and corruption.

Besides that Robbert-Jan is specializing in environmental criminal law and company accidents. Furthermore he has experience with various forms of in-house fraud and uses his expertise to advice clients to his best abilities.

 
Robbert-Jan is member of various relevant professional associations and was committee member of the Young Lawyers Association Amsterdam during 2008/2009. Momentarily he is an active member of the NVJSA (Young Criminal Law Association).
